Who are the only 6 recruitment companies in Thailand that can brag about being on the world’s Top 40 list?

You too will be surprised to see this list of international recruitment groups that are present in Thailand.

The exhaustive list of recruiting providers from Hunt Scanlon Media presents an annual list of the Top 40 global talent providers that dominate the recruiting business worldwide.

Hunt Scanlon Media is a market research firm and the most widely referenced source for information in the human capital sector.

See who the Global Top 40 Global recruitment firms

Were you expecting to see famous recruitment brands like Egon Zehnder, Heidrick, Russell Reynolds, and Spencer Stuart on the list?

Well, all four are of course on the Top 40 list from Hunt Scanlon; but they are not in Thailand.

Who is licensed to recruit in Thailand?

IMG-0400There are hundreds of licensed recruitment firms in Thailand, local and international, according to the list available on the Department of Employment website (under the Ministry of Labour).

The Employment and Job Seekers’ Protection Act is the law in Thailand that regulates the business of a recruitment company.

  • Like the license from TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports) to operate a travel agency in Thailand.
  • Or similar to the approval by the FDA (Thai Food and Drug Administration under the Ministry of Public Health) to importers of medicines.
  • And to many other government bodies issuing licenses to companies operating in various industries or businesses.

A recruitment license is issued by the Department of Labour and must be renewed every two years. The domestic license allows licensed recruiters to help their clients hire candidates for jobs in Thailand and Thailand only.

The international recruitment license is issued to job brokers who are involved in sending Thai people to jobs overseas. Jobs like construction in Taiwan, berry pickers in Finland, or maids in the Middle East.

Searching globally for people to work in Thailand

This brings me to another question.

Are you sometimes looking for candidates who are currently in another country to come and work for you here in Thailand?

Seriously, why would you contact someone in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, or New York, when the above six companies have an international network, that you can count on?

Contact one of the six NPAworldwide offices in Thailand or any of the global firms from the Top 40 Global list with a presence in Thailand.
